Needed 2.2 - was forced to make do with 2.1 I was under the impression to download a trial version of Ace Media layer 2.2 which was advertised to be able to reformat mov-videos. But the version I was forced to download was 2.1, which cannot deal with mov-videos. It was therefore useless for my purposes, and promptly uninstalled. Thus, cannot say anything about the version Ace Media Player 2.2.

Just like to say i am quite happy with this software. Am using it as my default player, easy to use + full screen,thanks, JOHN.

Absolutely magic. I\'ve tried a few other similar programs, and had been very disappointed in the results, to the point I was going to can the idea> But Moyea Playerbox works just fine and I had a working display in around 30 minutes from installing..... Peter

Can\'t play FLAC or TS files and therefore useless to me.

Much better than pinnacle's own software takes a bit of setting up but works great would recomend it.

Tv search fail I have installed SesamTV without a problem, however after searching 1 hour to locate the right frequency for Australia it reported that it could not find any, I have a compro hybrid T750 Videomate DVB-T Dual on Win XP,and it finds the frequency in less than 2 minutes, in my opinion frequency search should be performed by city to reduce the search time.In regard to this program, Free is only good if it works otherwiase free means nothing.Question?Why can SesamTv not find the frequency for Cairns Australia

Didnt work with my card The software didnt properly work with my card (Dib7700 Asus laptop built-in, only audio source available in settings was Modem#0), so I uninstalled it immediately.

Overview program. I was very impressed with the speed of the program (compared to Mediacenter microsoft). The only problem I got with the program was the TV-tuner part. If that would be the same like in MS Mediacenter (automatic by area) the program sesamTV would be absolute superieur to MS Mediacenter.

Way to slow Way to slow to respond to anything on my laptop. Functional, but feel very slow and chunky.

Well it is free to download... but if you don\'t buy it, it puts a watermark on the output file. So no, I am not happy with this so called \"FREE\" software. I bet this review doesn\'t even appear with all the others.

Good for inexpeienced users (like myself) This is a good program to use if, like myself, you haven't got a lot of experience with computers. My PC went on the blink, and when I got it up and running again, the WMP wouldn't play dvds for me. So, I d/loaded this and was able to watch my dvds without problems. I use my PC as an all round entertainment system instead of having individual systems, so not being able to play my dvds was a pain, but thanks to AVS DVD Player, that was quickly solved. Would recommend to a friend.

It worked fine, but I also wanted to compare that with Nero showtime, and Windows media player installed on my system. While AVS worked it seemed that it trashed Nero Showtime and Windows Media Player.Uninstalling the AVS products, and my attempt to run Nero Showtime failed.
